Happy Independence Day!

July 1, 2007

canadian-flag.gifWait a minute, you say, the 4th isn’t until Wednesday!  How very astute…it is, nonetheless, Independence Day today…in Canada, that is.

So here’s wishing a very happy Independence Day to our friends north of the border, and in particular to the following real-estate related folks:

First, to my parents, who are comfortably ensconced in an active, RV-driving, relative-visiting, magnum-opus-writing retirement in Vancouver, British Columbia…funded largely through their astute and timely real estate investments.

Secondly, to this guy, who, though he lives in Portland and works for a Bay Area company, is actually a proud Canuck.
Thirdly, to these good folks, way out there in Saskatoon, which Google tells me is in the equally oddly named province of Saskatchewan.

Fourthly, there’s these guys.

Finally, there’s this guy.  Oh, wait a minute, wrong former British colony where they toss in an extra “u” in “color.”  He’s a Kiwi, not a Canuck.
Any other Canadian real estate luminaries that should be recognized here?

For those of your readers who may be interested, Benicia, the former state Capital of California is celebrating the Fourth of July, as it always has since its founding over 100 years ago tonight on JULY 3rd! Strange but true. We even have kept the tradition of carrying “torch lights” and still refer to the event as the July 3rd Torchlight Parade.

To cath up with the festivities chek out the events here http://www.VallejoBeniciaRealEstate.com

    Happy 4th!

Thanks for the congrats and all that. However, if you’re going to call it as you did, you should delete the capital letters, for that is not the name nor the occasion. It is “Canada Day” and it simply celebrates Canada. Since we have not fought to become free but have sort of slidden into it over time, independence is no issue here. We just like Canada–
