3Oceans Rises From the Depths
April 26, 2007
After a too-long blogging hiatus — brought on by a confluence of heavy work and personal commitments — I’m back…
One of the commitments keeping me busy was my “most Internet-marketed property…ever” listing. Let’s just say I underestimated how much time it would take to put property details up on some 80 sites…even though many of them auto-feed from Realtor.com But more on that later.
With the help of Jack Wimberly from West Valley Home Tours and the good folks from Wellcomemat.com I’m proud to unveil my debut acting appearance in a video segment about the listing, which is at 49 Missouri Street in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood.

Nice work Kevin!
We need to have an Oscars for best real estate marketing video…
Great work. If this real estate gig doesn’t work out you can have a career in film! Are you going to be transparent on the cost in dollars and man-hours for this project?
Kevin – that’s where you have been hiding! Very professional. You reminded me of a travel channel TV host walking us through some swanky resort hotel. Looking forward to seeing more. Good luck!

Man, that’s actually really really good! Both the quality of the video and the walk-through were great.
Thanks for the comments. The video, professional photographs, and 500 two-sided color hard-stock brochures ran just over $2000. Not cheap by any means, but absolutely worth it.
We had to do about 3-5 takes per scene. Jack Wimberly’s video guy was great to work with.
Good job Kevin. The video made the property look very inviting.
With each video Kevin becomes more masterful. Way to go Kevin! This is video #3 right?
Yep, this was number 3, and the first one done professionally. Huge difference!
Kevin, I use this blog post, and the corresponding marketing page for the property, as examples of how to use blogging in real estate. Today I gave a blogging workshop in Orlando and it was one of the “ah ha!” moments for the attendees.
Nice work!
