Thanks for stopping by! Let me introduce myself…
The early part of my career was in technology training and consulting, where I became fascinated by how technology impacts business. To explore this further, I got my MBA at Yale and then worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co.´s Business Technology Office (BTO), which helps large companies figure out how to use technology more effectively. Parallel to my technology and consulting career, I started dabbling in real estate and found it quite fascinating. When it came time to leave McKinsey, I wanted to indulge both of my passions — technology and real estate — and it seemed the best way to do that was to join a respected real estate brokerage firm — Alain Pinel Realtors — that “got” technology.
After nearly four years with Alain Pinel, I decided to branch out on my own, and I’m now the proud broker-owner of Three Oceans Real Estate, Inc. The name? It’s a reference to my good fortune at having lived near to three oceans: the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (when I lived for three years in Cape Town, South Africa), and, now, the Pacific.
As you spend time on my site, you’ll notice that I have some other contributors as well. They are all friends of mine, each top professionals in their own right: a mortgage broker, a stager, an attorney, and a couple of other Realtors as well.
You’ll also notice that I´m passionate about real estate, and I love the process of helping people fulfill their housing dreams. Buying and selling a home is typically a pretty big ordeal, the largest financial investment in most people´s lives, and I´m honored that my clients put their trust in me to help make it happen.
Real estate is very much about relationships: during a typical transaction, we will spend a lot of time together, often in stressful conditions and operating under tight deadlines. We´ll get to know each other pretty well during the weeks or months it takes to find that perfect dream home, or to sell your current one. When the transaction is over, the dust has settled, and the movers have left, then the post-sales part of our relationship begins. Need a plumber, tax accountant, or other service professional? Call me, and I´ll find the right person for your needs. Need advice about a remodel? I can help you think through your options.
What I ask in return for my service — apart from the commission check, of course! — is the honor of you referring me to your friends and family who may also have real estate needs.
Again, thanks for visiting, and I look forward to hearing from you!Kevin Boer
