I’m thrilled to announce that Eric Trailer of Absolute Mortgage Banking in Palo Alto has agreed to join us here as a 3 Oceans contributor. Eric has been providing excellent service to his clients for years, and we look forward to comparably excellent writing on the mortgage industry.
Simultaneously we bid adieu to some of the old-timers on this blog, for whom life’s constant change has meant they will no longer be able to blog here. Ana Hays is still with Alain Pinel but simply doesn’t have the bandwidth to continue contributing, and Ann O’Connell, lawyer-turned-stager, is on to the next part of her life, and was last seen heading towards Colorado. They’ll both be missed.

�Good news, your equity line and business line of credit rates remain the same as yesterday, as the Fed held short-term rates steady today. Why? Because despite unemployment concerns, the economy is doing fine (1.4% growth year to date-- thank you exports!), core inflation is under control at this point, gas prices have dropped over 6% recently and it's more prudent to maintain a steady helm when the economy appears relatively balanced.
